Marjorie Dickson, a well-known Pittsville community resident for over fifty years died July 29th, 2021, at the age of 89 at Marshfield Medical Center after a brief illness.

Originally from South Bay, Florida, Margie met Wilbur Dickson at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, and they married in 1953, settling in the town of Cary west of Pittsville. After obtaining her teaching credential at UW Stevens Point, Margie taught briefly in the old country school system, first at West Cary then at Rocky Run and Wallace schools. Once the school districts unified, Margie taught special education at Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids for several years. She then transferred across town to teach fifth grade at Woodside School in an overall career of nearly 35 years.

Margie is survived by her husband Wilbur and her sons Lloyd and Dale (Brenda) Dickson. She also had three grandchildren — Julie Dickson, Angela (Eric) Yuds, and Monica Dickson and two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Adelynn Yuds.

A funeral service in her honor will be held at the Buchanan Rembs Funeral Home in Pittsville at 11 am on August 7th, 2021. Visitation begins at 10 am. Condolences may be sent online at www.rembsfh.com
