Marilyn A. Louis, 86, Marshfield, passed away with her husband at her side on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at House of the Dove.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, with her stepson, Rev. Kevin Louis officiating. The service will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven   Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Mark Gosh, Jack Ably, Dale Meyer, Larry Louis, Richard Baierl, and Dan Keller. The visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday and from 9:30 am until service time on Thursday, all at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Sacred Heart Parish Council of Catholic Women will recite the rosary at 4:00 pm on Wednesday at the church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Marilyn was born on July 29, 1934, in the Town of Lincoln, Wood County, to Othmar and Catherine (Schneider) Meyer. She attended Shady Lane Public School and was a 1952 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. After her education, she was employed by Lloyd L. Felker Company and later at Weyerhaeuser Company for 32 years. At her retirement, she was Administrative Assistant to the General Manager of the Door Plant.

She was united in marriage to Norman R. “Bud” Hein on October 20, 1956, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. He died on September 27, 1995. She later married Charles H. Louis on July 7, 2001, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield.

Volunteering was a huge part of her retirement, as she served in offices for 10 consecutive years in the Sacred Heart PCCW/Christian Mothers, and she did numerous other volunteer tasks for Sacred Heart Parish. She also was active in volunteering at St. Joseph’s Hospital and a member of Partners of St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She is survived by her husband Charles Louis, niece Kay Eberhardy of South San Francisco, CA, stepsons Fr. Kevin Louis, St. Mary’s Parish, Big River, WI, and Brian Louis of Chicago, IL, sisters-in-law, Betty Hein of Janesville and Arlene Louis of Richland Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Bud Hein, her sister Lucille Eberhardy and in-laws Lawrence Eberhardy, Margaret Ably, Robert Hein, Donald Hein, Dwayne Hein, Marion Douglas, Ruth Larson, Betty Shupe, Genevieve Schiesl, Mae Scherr and Victor, Ira, Bernard, Gus and Madelene Louis and Eileen Witkowski.

Memorials may be designated to the Future Family Life Program at Sacred Heart.
