John R. Guden

John R. Guden, 55, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 following an auto accident.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at North Ridge Church, 1021 W. McMillan St., Marshfield, with Pastor Preston Tippen officiating. Burial will be in the Town of Richfield Cemetery. The visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday at Northridge Church. The funeral will be live streamed at nr.church/JohnGuden.

John was born on October 4, 1965 in Marshfield, to Arthur N. and Annette M. (Rossman) Guden, Jr. and was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. He married Tammy S. Jonas on June 17, 1989 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hewitt.

After his education, John worked at Nasonville Dairy. He then was employed at Riverview Dairy, (Ron Dix Dairy Farm) Bakerville until farming on his own in the Town of Auburndale. Later, he began employment at H & S Maunufacturing until returning to farming with Ron Dix. He then owned and operated his own trucking business and then drove independently for Cape, Michael’s, Zinaego and various other trucking companies. He also purchased a log truck and operated Guden Trucking and Logging. At the present time he and Tammy farmed, owning and operating Corner View Dairy in the Town of Richfield.

John enjoyed four-wheeler rides, going for country road drives, weekly family nights, bonfires, grilling, farm auctions and socializing with his family and friends. Most important to him were faith, family and farming.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy, and their daughters, Kelly Guden of Marshfield and Ashley (Jordan) Landwehr of Chili. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary (Keith) Kay, Larry (Bernice) Guden, Jackie David, Norbert (Chris) Guden, Agnes (Jeff) Scholzen, Carol (Tim) Zschernitz, and Chuck (Lisa) Guden, and a brother-in-law, David Burkart. He is further survived by Tammy’s parents, Jerry and Sara Jonas, and Tammy’s siblings, Jeff Jonas, Jason (Liz) Jonas, and Jeremy (Chrissy) Jonas, many nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marilyn Burkart.
