Our Dad, Glen R. Bargender, was born in Marshfield, WI on July 30, 1958. Our grandparents, Vince, and Deloris raised their boys, Glen, Ken, and Keith in Bakerville on a small family dairy farm. The boys were raised to respect work and their parents. Our Dad though, gravitated towards his grandpa, Ted. With grandpa Ted, our dad found his joys in life. Coins, collectibles, and the art of the deal. These things would be the basis most of his adult life.

In 1979, dad married mom, Sue. Together they started a family consisting of us boys, Randy, Jeff, Michael, and Danny. With Sue’s support, Glen was given the freedom to pursue financial security outside of the 9-5 grind. Self-employment, and finding the value in any opportunity were two things he prided himself most on and it started early on in their marriage. Whether it was refinishing furniture for resale or remodeling a home for resale, our dad got the job done. They soon started Badgerland Auto Sales and began purchasing used automobiles for resale. Glen’s brothers, Ken and Keith later came on as business partners and our brother Randy eventually worked as a mechanic. Out of Glen’s shop came multiple cruiser racecars and demolition derby cars. Dad raced number 10, Randy raced against him, now Danny races number 10.

Eventually, that industry could no longer support three families. Our Dad moved on to the next deal and then the next. These deals landed him with an impressive real estate collection which he prized.

With our dad’s second wife of 13 years, Lyndie, they welcomed his four beloved grandchildren, Lucy Rae, Joseph Glen, Benjamin John, and Grayson Isaiah. His heart grew 4 sizes by that time. These kids will always know who their grandpa was and how much he means to their lives.

Our Dad was not a perfect man. But who is. We all love him and miss him more than we realize every day.

We love you Dad,

Randy, Jeff, Michael, and Danny

Glen is survived by his wife, Lyndie and his children, Randall (Bailey) Bargender, Jeffrey (Rhiannon) Bargender, Michael (Rebecca) Bargender and Daniel Bargender. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Lucy, Joseph, Benjamin, and Grayson. He is further survived by brothers, Kenneth (Gloria) Bargender and Keith (Dawn) Bargender.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Marilyn and a brother Ervin in infancy.
