Elmer Berry, 79, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021, at Marshfield Medical Center.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Entombment will be in McMillan Memorials Gardens Cemetery.
Elmer was born on October 8, 1941, in Roth, Virginia, to James and Melvina (Newson) Berry. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from September 17, 1959, until his honorable discharge on September 5, 1962. He married Carol J. Smith on June 8, 1941, in Heidelberg, Germany.
Elmer was employed at Felker Brothers Manufacturing in Marshfield, until his retirement in 2005. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and later being outdoors and mowing his lawn.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, and their children, Marie (Todd) Cattanach of Chili, Ellen Berry, and Dean Berry, both of Marshfield. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Shanna Berry, and a great-grandson, Aaron Wiesner. He is further survived by a sister Thelma Grampre.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Edward, a sister and brother-in-law Edna (Glen) Owens, a brother and sister-in-law James (Edith) Berry, and a brother-in-law Glenn Grampre.
