It is with a deep sadness that the Krier family informs you of the passing of their loving mother, Cherie A. Krier, on July 18th, 2022, surrounded by her biggest fans. Cherie Ann Krier was born in Stratford, WI on June 5th, 1931 to Glenn and Helen Hughes. She graduated from St. Rose of Viterbo Convent in 1949. She married Roland P. Krier on August 8th, 1949. Cherie’s greatest joy was her family including immediate and extended members, as well as friends. There are few words to describe this mother of twelve, but most notably, her love was contagious.

She was always busy baking her bread without need for a recipe, shuttling kids to and from sports, cooking unlike any other, entertaining, and creating holiday celebrations which were always a topic of discussion and to which everyone was invited. She volunteered at church as a religious teacher, active member of the Catholic women’s group (PCCW) and was best known for her coordination and direction of the annual St. John’s Christmas Eve Mass. This event included a live nativity, angels, and a drummer boy as well as singers. Cherie loved people and easily warmed even the saddest heart. She was an amazing role model that many have cherished.

Cherie’s passions included: God, family, cooking for all, and music, particularly songs from the 1940s Hit Parade. Once a month, she loved to meet with her classmates, known as the 49ers, as well as her close and dear friend, Hilda Nikolai. She was so looking forward to being in Heaven with her family and friends. With Cherie’s deep faith and prayer life, she was prepared to one day meet our Lord and savior.

Cherie A. Krier is survived by her greatest joys, her twelve children, as well as her children’s spouses, her grand grandchildren and great grandchildren which include: children, Gayle (Ken) Pankratz, Dale (Mary) Krier, Pat (Jan) Krier, Roy (Marilyn) Krier, Helen (John) Herman, John (Karen) Krier, Chuck (Laura) Krier, Jim (Tammy) Krier, Khristine (David) Winemiller, Tom (Michelle) Krier, Sally (Darin) Anderson, and Kelly (Chad) Post; grandchildren: Rob Pankratz, Jennifer (Jamie) Peskie, Curt (Becky) Krier, Nicole (Nikki) Schmit, Amy (Bill) Tills, Beth (Peter) Rozak, Wayne Krier, Ryan (Ashley) Krier, Adam (Suzie) Krier, Kevin (Linda) Herman, Becca (Lee) Foemmel, Craig (Sara) Herman, Christopher (Autumn) Krier, Brian (Jodi) Krier, Amanda Krier (Travis), Sara Krier, Timmy Krier, Daniel (Emily) Krier, Ashley (Luke) Gomach, David (Kendra) Krier, Josh (Lauren) Krier, Katelyn (Ripley) Sartain, Jessica, Jacqueline (Luke) and Jasmine Winemiller, Emily (Kaleb) Krier, Patrick (Kelsey) Krier, Erik Krier, Nick (Sammie) Anderson, and Bradley Anderson; great grandchildren: Logan (Michaela), Hunter(Sasha), Ramsey (Kaela), Samantha (Sam), Shannon, Jack, Charlie, Morgan, Mikaela, Vanessa, Parker, Jonas, Mae, Violet, Avery, Evan, Hailey, Leroy, Kassandra, Elaina, Aiden, Mason, Austin, Rae, Konner, Kolton, Hannah, Gracie, Everly, Jacob, Wyatt, Wylan, Weston, Wade, Aubree, Claire, Jadyn, Sterling, Adaline, Carson, Keegan, and Caleb; and great-great grandchild Buckley.
