All are invited to join in sharing memories and celebrating Andy’s life.

Born on April 15, 1976, in Marshfield, Andy was the beloved son of Edward and Judy (Hageman) Stashek. A proud 1994 graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High School, he later served with honor in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 2005. Andy served in the 998th QM Co as a mechanic and convoy specialist during his military service, demonstrating his dedication and expertise while stationed in Iraq. It was there that he formed deep and lasting friendships, bonds that remained throughout all these years.

Andy was a cherished son, brother, and uncle known for his infectious laughter, mischievous pranks, warm hugs, lively conversations, and culinary talents. He was a master with the steaks on the grill, delighting family and friends with his sizzling creations – different every time. Additionally, his Old-Fashion mix added a special touch to any gathering.

Andy recently began serving as the music coordinator at church and selflessly helped out anywhere he was needed in the community. He was a true friend, always ready to lend a helping hand without seeking recognition or reward. Andy was the heart of his community, surrounded by his family, and a close-knit group of lifelong friends. His impact, like the cherished memories he leaves behind, will endure as a testament to the enduring power of friendship and community.

If you had the privilege of really knowing Andy, you undoubtedly liked him. His absence leaves a void, but his spirit lives on through the generous gifts of the organs he was able to donate, a testament to his compassionate nature and commitment to helping others. Andy exemplified the essence of a true Christian.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the dedicated Doctors and Nurses of the Surgical ICU, especially Tanya, who not only provided exceptional medical care but also went above and beyond to keep Andy present and surrounded by the warmth of humor. Their efforts made a significant difference, and their compassionate touch will forever be remembered with deep appreciation.

Andy is survived by his loving parents, Ed and Judy Stashek, and siblings, Brian Stashek of Marathon, Michele (Shelly) Cronin of Chicago, IL, and Mark Stashek of Rome, WI. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; Laina Stashek, Grayson Cronin, Adri Freer, Scot Chroninger, and Athena Hogan.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Scot, in 2001.
