Voters came out in huge numbers to support area athletes for the right to earn the title as Athlete of the Week.
Nora Gremban of Northland Pines Girls Cross Country collected 722 votes and was named the OnFocus Athlete of the Week, October 16 to October 22.
Coming in second place was Tanner Hraby of Medford Boys Cross Country with 513 votes.
- Britt Fitzgerald of Mosinee had 262 votes for third place.

OnFocus Athlete of the Week, October 16 – October 22
- Britt Fitzgerald, Mosinee Girls Cross Country – Fitzgerald is headed to state after earning medalist honors at the Black River Falls Division 2 Sectional. Also qualifying for state from the sectional was Rachael Reilly of Tomahawk.
- Adam Eiden, Pacelli Boys Cross Country – Eiden led the Cardinals at the Division 3 Pacelli Boys Cross Country Sectional on Saturday, finishing in second place. The Cardinals dominated the field, defeating second place Pardeeville by 81 points.
- Nora Gremban, Northland Pines Girls Cross Country – Gremban took first place at the Oconto Falls D2 Cross Country Sectional, and is headed to state!
- Tanner Hraby, Medford Boys Cross Country / Max Adams, Colby/Abbotsford Boys Cross Country – Hraby and Adams are headed to state, after top finishes at sectionals. Hraby took fourth place and Adams finished sixth at the Black River Falls Division 2 Sectional.
- Lucy Dolan, Assumption Girls Cross Country – Dolan, a freshman, took first at the Division 3 Pacelli Cross Country Sectionals on Saturday, by a whopping 42 seconds. The Royals raced past the field, with 38 points, 31 points ahead of second place Laconia.
