Submitted to OnFocus, Marshfield — Like many other churches in the country, congregations are once again offering in-person worship services as COVID restrictions are lifted.  North Ridge Church is planning to offer multiple service options beginning June 7, as well as a change in temporary location.

In response to the need to right-size the church’s meeting areas and enable the congregation’s wingspan to reach more people with the Word of Jesus Christ, North Ridge Church will be undergoing an expansion project in the upcoming year at its 1021 W. McMillan Street site.

Plans include offering spaces for multi-generational discipleship, Next Gen ministry opportunities, more secure spaces for children and adding a 580-seat Worship Center, allowing for more community use opportunities.

Construction on the McMillan Street church is scheduled to begin this summer.

In planning the transition of construction along with the Covid-19 return to Sunday services, North Ridge Church will temporarily move all of its ministries and services to the Marshfield Mall, utilizing the previous retail space of JC Penney beginning June 7, 2020.

“The timing was perfect for us to move to accommodate the various needs of our community when returning to live services as we begin our Covid-19 Comeback Plan. We are excited to be able to utilize the vacant space to create additional opportunities for ministry while our church is under construction. By reaching higher and wider, we are inviting God’s presence wherever we worship, and inviting more people to join us in these worship experiences.”  said Lead Pastor Preston Tippen.

In addition to moving to the former JC Penney space, North Ridge Church is planning to use its outdoor space at its south-side property at 311 Heritage Drive, Marshfield to provide outdoor ministry opportunities.

Youth ministry for students in grades 7-12 will meet for outdoor gatherings on Wednesdays beginning June 17 at 7:00pm at 311 Heritage Drive (weather permitting).
