A Marathon County circuit court judge previously set a $5 million bond for the man police say was involved in an April stabbing near Stratford that left two people dead.

The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Wisconsin State Crime Lab, investigated the stabbing, which occurred on April 7, 2020, at 121625 County Road P, Stratford Wisconsin. This address is located in the Township of Cleveland, Marathon County.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m. on April 7, the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and Stratford Police Department responded to a call of a stabbing at the above listed address. Two males were found stabbed, one was deceased on scene and the other was transported to a local hospital where he later died from injuries he sustained from the stabbing. He was pronounced deceased the same day at 6:05p.m. The suspect, Brandon Dwayne Noll, DOB of 7/8/1997 fled the scene in a vehicle. He crashed that vehicle in the City of Marshfield and quickly stole a vehicle from a nearby business. He later led authorities on a high speed chase after being located in the Village of Spencer.

In a coordinated effort, the Wisconsin State Patrol, Marshfield Police Department, Spencer Police Department, and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office were able to apprehend the suspect in the City of Marshfield. A Trooper from the Wisconsin State Patrol conducted a PIT maneuver to stop the fleeing homicide suspect. The Trooper sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released. Noll was taken into custody.

Noll is scheduled to appear September 1 in Wood County Circuit Court.
