Established in 1947, Nelson-Jameson is a fourth generation, family-owned business. It has grown from five employees to having 212 company-wide. With customers in all 50 states and countries throughout the world, Nelson-Jameson has distribution centers in California, Idaho, Texas and Pennsylvania, along with a sales office in Chicago.
Nelson-Jameson, which will celebrate 75 years of business in 2022, believes in investing in the future by using cutting edge technology to assist their customers with custom managed inventory and ordering solutions built for the dairy, food and beverage industries.
Last year, the company purchased an existing corporate office building and moved its headquarters and consolidated the Customer Service division into one building. Extensive renovations were made to this space to create a state-of-the-art facility.
The company is also community-minded, supporting organizations including United Way, the new library, the YMCA, and UWSP at Marshfield to name just a few benefactors. They have representation on various boards in the community and City of Marshfield, as well as employees volunteering through various sporting events.
For 64 years, Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry has been recognizing a Firm of the Year. Businesses are considered based on various criteria, including economic impact, service to community, and enhancement of community image. Past nominees are eligible if they have gone through significant restructuring or made a measurable economic impact.
