Nekoosa (OnFocus) – It’s been a long wait for football fans and football teams to start the 2020 season. The wait is finally over, and the season is now here.

We take a look at the Papermakers with our Season Preview. We reached out to Coach Mark Tuttle for some thoughts on this football season, giving us a glimpse into how the    Papermakers are getting ready for this year.

OnFocus: How has your coaching staff and team prepared for this season?

Tuttle: We are trying to go about things as close to normal as possible. Being careful to sanitize before practice and distance as much as we can. The kids just want to play.

OnFocus: What are some positives that have come out of practice and the season being delayed?

Tuttle: Our community passed a referendum so next year we will be playing in a brand new athletic complex. We are an old fashioned grind it out football team that will try to out physical you if possible.

OnFocus: Season forecast – What should fans expect to see out of your team this year?

Tuttle: We only have 6 seniors so we are a relatively young team. After qualifying for the playoffs last year we hope to continue to improve. We have moved to a different conference which will take some adjustment, but hopefully we will be fine. Our goal is to finish in the top 3 in the conference.
