Nekoosa Fires on All Cylinders in Level 1 Football Win

Nekoosa (OnFocus) – The Nekoosa Papermakers came ready to play in their Level 1 Football Playoff game against Virocqua, scoring in every period and outscoring the visitors 52-32. Five players scored for Nekoosa in the balanced attack.

Hunter Lochner started the scoring out with a 7 yard run, and collected 83 yards on 14 carries on the evening.

Cordero Ysquierdo then galloped from 60 yards and the Papermakers’ machine was rolling.

Ysquierdo also had touchdown runs of 2 and 1 yards, and had some additional impressive numbers to add show for his efforts. He led all rushers with 195 yards on 13 carries, had 3 receptions for 59 yards, and led Nekoosa with 7 tackles.

Nekoosa also had touchdowns from Logan Pech(23 yard reception), Ethan Hoogesteger 17 yard run), and Jonathan Wenzel (4 yard run.)

Hoogesteger was a perfect 4 of 4 for 82 yards and the one touchdown through the air.
