Friend of Agriculture Award Announced Today

Shortly after noon today, MACCI Executive Director Scott Larsen announced the recipient of the 2018 Friend of Agriculture Award. According to Larsen, the award recognizes an individual, business, or organization that has done outstanding work in support of agriculture in the Marshfield area.

National Farm Medicine Center was honored to be the recipient of the award this year. Established in 1981 to address occupational health problems in farming, the Center health  and priorities include children, agri-tourism, beginning farmers and ranchers, and injury surveillance.

The award will be formally presented June 1 during Dairyfest at the Mayor’s Breakfast, which draws around 2,000 people each year. Last year, Nelson-Jameson, Inc. received the honor.
