Mosinee played Edgar in non-conference action on Friday, January 7, in Mosinee. Mosinee caused Edgar to turnover the ball 10 times in the first half and got a stop another 18 times, creating 18 kills, 3 or more possessions of getting a stop or a turnover. Mosinee would jump out to a 10-3 lead when Edgar would call their first time out of the game.

Mosinee would continue to pressure Edgar and lead at the half 37-18. Edgar would fight on every possession in the second half, putting up 32 points, while Mosinee would only get 3 kills in the half. Mosinee’s Davin Stoffel would dunk on the zone pressure of Edgar in the second half. Mosinee would only allow Edgar to score 16 field goals on the night while they shot 8 of 10 from the line in a loss, 74-50.

Davin Stoffel led all scorers with 23 points and he was 1 of 3 from the charity stripe. Drake Grod hit 4 three-pointers on his way to finishing the night with 18 points. Trenton Dorn made a three and was 2 of 3 from the line to end the night with 11 points. Keagen Jirschele and Evan Utphall finished the night with 7 points. Keagen was 1 of 2 from the line while Evan nailed a three and was 2 of 3 from the line.
Trevor Garski hit a three, Charlie Spink was 1 of 2 from the line for 3 points, and Cole Kowalski made a bucket.
Ashton Shuett led Edgar with 16 points including 4 threes of his own. Evert Brehm made a three and was a perfect 5 for 5 from the line for 12 points on the night. Karter Butt hit a three and was 3 of 4 from the line for 10 points. Leyton Schuett made a three and finished with 5 points as well as Brett Baumgartner. Teega Streit finished the night with a bucket.
Mosinee is 8-1 on the season while only averaging giving up 49.8 ppg and scoring 69.9 ppg.
