Mosinee Boys Run Past Antigo

Mosinee vs. Antigo  Won: 77-39

The Mosinee Boys Basketball team took it to the road for a conference game in Antigo.  Mosinee got the game started with a three from the wing by Keagen Jirschele.  Seconds later, Mosinee got a three from Garrett Shupe to make the score 6-0 Mosinee.  Garrett Shupe would add his second three to put the score at 9-0.  Davin Stoffel got on the board by making 1 of 2 free throws to put Mosinee ahead 10-0.  Davin got fouled again and made 1-2 at the line again for a 11-0 lead for Mosinee.  Jirschele would hit his second three of the night from the corner to put Mosinee ahead 14-2.  Landen Thomer would make a smooth move under the basket from an assist by Jirschele to extend the lead to 16-2.  Aidan Shaughnessy would get a half court pass from Jirschele for a bucket to make it 18-2.  Shaughnessy would then get an and one the next trip down the court to bring the lead to 21-2.  Treve Stoffel would deliver a dime to his brother Davin for a layup.  Mosinee is up 23-2.  Thomer hit 1-2 at the line and Mosinee’s lead was now 24-6.  Stoffel gets a great pass from Keagen for a bucket to put Mosinee up 26-6.  Jirschele would pull up from 12 feet to knock down a shot for two.  Mosinee is now up 28-6.  Landen Thomer would get fouled on a rebound and he would hit both bonus free throws to put Mosinee up 30-6.  Thomer hits a three later in the half and puts Mosinee up 33-8.  Jirschele gets fouled while attempting a layup.  He would make both of his free throws for a 35-8 lead.  Davin would put on a defensive display and get a tip and he would get out for a fastbreak layup to push the lead to 37-8.  Garrett Shupe would end the first half with his third three of the night for a 40-10 lead.

Central Wisconsin Boys Basketball Schedules

Out of half Mosinee would open up the scoring with an offensive rebound and putback by Jirschele.  Mosinee is up 42-12.  Davin Stoffel would start his second half with some vicious dunks.  His first one was an and one in which he would complete.  Mosinee up 45-14.  Garrett Shupe would knock down his fourth 3 of the night to push the lead to 48-14.  Stoffel’s second dunk was one that brought down the house.  Mosinee is now up 50-14.  Davin would get his third dunk of the night on a fastbreak feed.  David Haskin would get in on the offensive action with a three of his own.  Mosinee is now up 55-19.  Jirschele got his opportunity to attack the rim and finish for two.  57-22 Mosinee.  Jack Rindfleisch with a deep three from the wing to put Mosinee up 60-25.  Keagen would get an opportunity to knock down 1-2 free throws after getting fouled while going in for a layup.  61-25 Mosinee.  Minutes later Landen Thomer would get another rebound and put the ball in with a reverse lay-in.  He would get the lead to 63-27.   Keagen Jirschele would deliver a dime to Treve Stoffel for a layup.  The lead is now 65-34.  Ben Peterson would sprint down the floor and get a great feed for a layup.  Mosinee is now up 67-36.  Peterson would follow that with a deep three to put Mosinee up 70-39.  Aidan Shaughnessy would finish up his night of scoring with two free throws to put Mosinee up 72-39.  Taylor Lemanski hit Haskin for two.  Mosinee is now in front of Antigo 74-39.  Noah Stencil got on the board with a three from the wing and the lead is now 77-39.  This would be the last bucket of the night for Mosinee.  They would win their 5th conference game of the season to bring their conference record to 5-2 and overall to 12-4.  Mosinee will travel again for their next game next week Friday against Tomahawk.  

Mosinee was led by Keagen Jirschele with 15 points while hitting two 3’s and going 3-4 at the free throw line, 8 assists, and 2 steals.  Davin Stoffel with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks,  and going 3-6 at the line.  Garrett Shupe added 12 points while hitting four 3’s, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 assist.  Landen Thomer added 10 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 block shots.  Aidan Shaughnessy scored 7 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.  Ben Peterson scored 5 points while hitting one 3, 1 rebound, and 1 block shot.  David Haskin scored 5 points while hitting one 3.  Jack Rindfleisch and Noah Stencil each scored 3 points.  Each of them knocked down a three.   Treve Stoffel would round out the scoring with 2 points.
