Mosinee Boys Basketball Hangs on to Defeat Rhinelander

Mosinee (OnFocus) – Mosineejumped out to a 12-3 lead on Rhinelander off two three-pointers, a putback, an and-one, and some free throws four minutes into the game, and went on to earn a 54-43 GNC win.

Mosinee would build that into a 12 point lead at the half, 17-29 off of ten turnovers and 13 defensive stops. Rhinelander would play man to man, a 1-3-1 zone, and a match-up zone defense to try to slow down Mosinee in the first half who made 4 triples in the half. Rhinelander would match Mosinee blow for blow in the second half with each team scoring 25 points in the half. Rhinelander would make 5 three-pointers in the second-half against Mosinee, some coming from deep.

Mosinee would only force the Hodags into 5 turnovers in the second half and got another 15 stops to get their second conference win of the season and remain unbeaten.
