Minneapolis Police Respond to Mass Shooting in Uptown

Minneapolis (OnFocus) Minneapolis Police Department requested the public to stay away from the area of 2900 block Hennepin S., Sunday morning around 1:45 am as reports came in of multiple people shot. The address provided corresponds to a commercial district, near Landmark’s Uptown Theatre and several bars and restaurants.

An update was made on the Minneapolis Police Department’s Twitter feed, shortly after 3 am that 10 people were suffering from gunshot wounds at area hospitals. All of the victims are alive with various severity levels of injuries.

At 4 am, the PD updated that the number of gunshot victims increased to 12 and that 1 male had died. No reports at this time indicate that the additional victims were from the response of the department or if any one was in custody.

Calls and emails to Minneapolis police seeking more information weren’t immediately returned. Developing story.
