Memorial Day Parade

Monday, May 31st, 2021
Parade starts at 9:30 a.m.

Hosted by the Marshfield Veterans Council, the annual Memorial Day Parade is a poignant dedication to the men and women who served and sacrificed their lives for their country.

More than 2,000 American flags will adorn the graves of veterans beginning Saturday, in preparation for Monday’s event.

Placed there by veterans and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the community, these flags are just part of the services to take place. The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. by St. John’s Catholic Church on Chestnut Avenue and will proceed up Blodgett Street and finish at the cemetery across from St. Joseph’s Hospital. A ceremony will then be held at the Field of Honor.

Following the ceremony, the procession will host another ceremony at Brooklawn Cemetery on Highway 80 south of Marshfield. Following that ceremony, a fellowship luncheon will be held at the American Legion Hall in Marshfield, sponsored by the VFW. All are invited to attend.

This Memorial Day, take a moment to reflect and remember with fellow citizens at Marshfield’s Memorial Day Parade.

There will be no restrictions in place this year after the parade was cancelled last year.
