Medford Stays Unbeaten with 39-14 Win

The Medford Raiders took another huge step to a Great Northern Conference title with a 39-14 win over Rhinelander on the back of 222 yards rushing and 4 TDs by Ean Wilson.

Medford started the scoring early when Wilson ran in from 12 yards out. Wilson would get another TD with 5:25 left in the 1st on a 3 yard run. Just over a minute later Emett Grunwald would get on the board with an 11 yard TD run.

Just one score in the 2nd when Wilson would run it in from 8 yards out giving Medford a 27-0 lead at halftime.

Grunwald would get the next score on an 8 yard run early in the 3rd quarter.

Rhinelander would get the next two scores in the 4th, the first play of the 4th quarter Walker Hartman would get a 1 yard TD run. Then with just over 6 minutes left Peyton Erickson would get his own 1 yard run to cut the lead to 33-14. But Medford would respond with about a minute left on a Wilson 2 yard run.

Medford’s next game is a nonconference matchup at Wausau East Friday, September 27th at 7:00 PM.
