Medford, Mosinee Sweep Football Awards from Great Northern Conference

The Great Northern Conference announced their 2019 Players and Coach of the Year along with their All-Conference Teams.

Medford won at least a share of all three Player or Coach of the Year awards with Ted Wilson winning Coach of the Year, Blaine Seidl winning Defensive Player of the Year, and Ean Wilson and Trey Fitzgerald of Mosinee splitting Offensive Player of the Year.

Medford unanimous first-team offense selections are senior offensive lineman Zac Breneman, senior runningback Ean Wilson, and junior running back Emett Grunwald. They are joined on the first team by senior offensive lineman Issac Zepeda and senior tight end Doug Way.

Mosinee unanimous first-team offense selections are junior wide receivers Drayton Lehman and Cyle Kowalski, senior quarterback Trey Fitzgerlad, and junior kicker Michael Dul.

Medford unanimous first-team defensive selections are senior defensive lineman Clay Bowe, senior linebacker Doug Way, senior linebacker Ean Wilson, and senior defensive back Justin Sulivan. They are joined on the first team by junior defensive lineman Joe Gierl, junior linebacker Emett Grunwald, junior linebacker Blaine Sidel, and junior defensive back Colton Surek.

Mosinee’s unanimous first-team defensive selection was junior defensive back Drayton Lehman.
