Vandehey Waters To Open Soon

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Marshfield area residents will soon get to enjoy the new Vandehey Waters Aquatic Center.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to take place Friday, July 23 at 11 a.m. with a short presentation and tour of the facility. The pool will be open the same day at 3 p.m. pending the weather.

Located on the former Hefko Pool location, the new outdoor aquatic center will feature three slides, two diving boards, a climbing wall, basketball hoops, a full concession stand, family changing rooms, private changing stalls, a reservable shelter, a party room, a current channel, a grass area, shade structures and plenty of lounge chairs.

Construction started in August 2020 on the approximately 6-million dollar project. Half of that was paid for by the City of Marshfield and half was privately raised.
