Marshfield Wins With Buzzerbeater

The Wausau West Warriors fought valiantly against the Marshfield Tigers, catching up and trading the lead until the final 15 seconds when Marshfield sealed 1st place 52-50.

Maddie Michaelis is the leading scorer for Marshfield with 15 points, followed by Desirae Weisenberger with 12 and Kaydee Johnson added 10.

For the Warriors Kiley Deaton led with 15 points, Anna Cunningham followed with 14, Grace Michalske and Maddie Hauer both added 6.

The Tigers are in 1st with 11-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, one place ahead of SPASH and their record of 10-1.

Wausau West is 3rd in the conference with 7-4 and 10-11 in the season.

Marshfield will be traveling to Menomonee on Tuesday, Feb. 18th for a non-conference clash.

The Warriors will be hosting SPASH on Thursday, Feb. 20th which will determine whether Marshfield will keep 1st place to themselves or have to share the title.
