Marshfield Police Reports – August 22-September 8

August 22 – A man reported that he came home at 11 pm and found his girlfriend and their son gone. A vehicle registered to him, that his girlfriend primarily drives, was also gone, presumably driven by his girlfriend. He indicated he did not think it was right that his girlfriend would take their son and his vehicle to a location unknown to him. He indicated that his girlfriend had reported him for criminal activity earlier that day. Officer explained that there did not appear to be any criminal activity that had taken place. While officer was talking to him, his girlfriend called and told him that she had gone to visit her dying father. Officer did make telephone contact with the girlfriend.

August 29 – A woman reported that she sent $300 via Facebook marketplace for an authentic Louis Vuitton Alma Handbag and did not receive it. She had been speaking with the Facebook account Desiree Dup about purchasing the bag and having it shipped to her. After sending the money, the account was deactivated and messages were unsent by the other account. She was advised to secure her bank account and that it was most likely a scam meant to take money from people with the promise of goods in return.

A man reported someone entered a trailer on E 25th and took several tools and items without permission. The scene was processed and a canvass of the area was completed. Investigation on-going.

Officers responded to a complainant who stated that she was having problems with facebook messenger. The complainant stated that she looked up help on google and called a number she found. She stated that the male she talked to over the phone got access to her banking account and cash app and attempted to take money out of her account but was unsuccessful. The complainant was not out anything and was informed to notify her bank and change account passwords. Recordings of phone calls and screenshots were uploaded to evidence.com.

August 31 – A traffic stop was conducted at Chestnut/Blodgett. K9 Zso alerted to the odor of a controlled substance within the vehicle. After subsequent a search of the vehicle, the driver, a 37 y/o Marshfield female, was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Felony Bail Jumping and Resisting Arrest. Charges will be requested through Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

September 8 – During a traffic stop, K9 Rika indicated to a controlled substance in the vehicle. As a result, a 28 year-old female was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. The female was ultimately transported to Wood County Jail. The female also indicated she has an open Child Protective Services case.

The complainant reported that his employer had assaulted him and another co-worker at work. Following an investigation is was determine that a request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office for Battery.

Officer’s were dispatched to a male who had cut himself with an unknown object for a welfare check. Contact was made with the male party who brandished a knife and became combative. He was eventually placed under arrest. Wood County Crisis was contacted and he was transported to the Wood County Jail shortly after.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a physical domestic disturbance. Following an investigation it was determine an 18 year old female was the predominant aggressor. The female was ultimately transported to the Wood County Jail. A request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office for Domestic False Imprisonment, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct.

Complainant reported a sexual assault. The suspect, a 47 year-old Marshfield male, was interviewed. Charges of 4th Degree Sexual Assault will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
