MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Police Department confirmed to OnFocus that a police officer will be resigning in October.

Detective Christine Zupanc will be resigning in mid-October according to acting Police Chief, Pat Zeps.

According to Zeps, the process to replace an officer includes initial approval from the Police and Fire Commission, then approval from Finance, Budget and Personnel Committee.

If approved by the FBP Committee, the item would then get placed on the consent agenda for final approval of the Common Council.

At that point, if all is approved, the MPD would work with their human resources department to fill the position.
