Police Investigate All Potential Threats

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Police Department confirmed that a suspected threat by a Marshfield High School student was not putting the public or the school in harm’s way.

After a student at Marshfield High School posted on his Instagram account a photo with a  handgun in the background with the words, “October 15th, Mark your Calendar,” parents reached out with concern to MPD.

After police made contact with the subject, it was determined that October 15th was going to be the release date of his rap album and the photo was his album cover.

It was ultimately found that there was no credible threat made to the community or school.

The Marshfield Police Department worked in conjunction with the Marshfield Unified School District while investigating the issue.
