Submitted to OnFocus – The Marshfield Police Department is seeking community minded people to participate in their volunteer Police Auxiliary program.

The Marshfield Police Auxiliary is the volunteer extension of the department which helps to staff larger community events and programs. Members act to support the mission of the department by assisting with general patrol duties and staffing of events requiring department presence.

The program allows participants to volunteer based on their availability. Although guidelines require a 40 hour per year minimum commitment and regular attendance at monthly meetings, many members consistently exceed the minimum expectation.

Members receive training related to the expectations of this position. This is a non-sworn position; meaning Auxiliary members do not have arrest powers.

Current membership represents a wonderful cross section of our community, and has included couples and people of a wide array of ages and backgrounds. They all share in the desire to help the department serve the community.

Any questions related to the Marshfield Police Auxiliary may be directed to Lead Officer Caleb Bornbach or Officer Robert Beathard at 715-387-4394.

The below link is to the membership application for you to print, complete, and turn in to the department to begin the selection process.
