Marshfield Police Department Addressing Situation Near E 6th/Maple

OnFocus – Marshfield Police Department and Wood County Sheriff’s Department are addressing a situation in the 500 block of South Maple Ave (200 Block E 6th), near Pick n’Save. A K9 Unit is also on scene. The department is attempting to make an arrest related to a domestic abuse situation and asks that the public avoid the area.

Law enforcement on Maple Avenue in Marshfield, April 30, 2021

Officers of the Marshfield Police Department, with the assistance of the Wood County Sheriff’s department, took a 30 year old Marshfield male into custody for violations related to a domestic abuse allegation in the 500 block of S Maple Ave today. The number of officers and departmental assets on hand were precautionary measures in place to ensure the safety of all involved. In the end, patience on everyone’s part and the excellence work of our crisis negotiator team were able to resolve the situation with no injury to the man or officers. There was no direct indications of a safety concern to public.

A special shout out to the guys who brought over the hot dogs, brats, chips, and water from the Pick N Save food stand – someone tag them if they know them.
