America Saves Week Encourages Retirement Planning

Submitted to OnFocus – It’s never too soon to begin preparing for retirement. In recognition of the national program, Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) is joining with CUNA Mutual Group’s campaign to encourage saving.

During America Saves Week, everyone is reminded to develop a habit of saving. Established in 2007 America Saves Week will take place from February 22-26 this year.

“Amidst a global pandemic, preparing for the unexpected has become even more critical to attaining long-term financial security, and America Saves Week is an ideal time for everyone to make a commitment to saving for the future,” CUNA said in a statement.

Each day of America Saves Week focuses on a different area of finances to help individuals and families address short-and long-term savings goals to achieve better financial stability, along with strategies for how they might get there.

Here are the themes for each day during America Saves Week:
