Marshfield gymnastics sets team scoring record, wins Tomah Invitational

TOMAH – The record-breaking season for the Marshfield gymnastics team continued Saturday as it won the Candy Cane Twist tournament at Tomah High School.

The Tigers piled up 135.1 points, the third-straight meet they have broken a previous school record for team points. Chippewa Falls was a distant second with 122.575 points.

Gracie Holland won all four events and the all-around title for Marshfield with a score of 37.05. She won the vault with a 9.275, the uneven bars with a 9.375, balance beam with a 9.35 and the floor exercise with a 9.05.

Emma Haugen was second in the vault (8.7) and bars (8.3), and was third in the beam (8.65) and floor (8.8) to finish second in the all-around (34.45) for the Tigers.

Brooke McGrath took third in the vault with a 8.55 for Marshfield.

Sophie Nikolay also won three events in the JV competition for Marshfield.

The Tigers will host Medford on Thursday in a Great Northern Conference dual meet.
