Marshfield girls basketball downs Eau Claire North for second-straight win

EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield girls basketball team won its second game in a row, downing Eau Claire North 52-36 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Eau Claire North High School.

The Tigers (2-2) held North to just 13 of 55 shooting in the victory.

Marshfield built a 29-18 lead by halftime and built on its lead in the second half, again holding the Huskies (2-4) to just 18 points.

Jenna Jakobi had 18 points and eight rebounds to lead Marshfield. Kaydee Johnson added 13 points in the victory.

Marshfield hosts Stevens Point in its Wisconsin Valley Conference opener on Friday. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
