Marshfield (OnFocus) – In a statement on social media, Marshfield Family Restaurant LLC informed patrons that they will be closing their doors permanently.

“Good morning everyone! Marshfield Family Restaurant, want to inform you, that due to
unforseen circumstances and situations that are not in our control ; we will be closing our doors permanently on Sunday, August 23rd at 2:00 pm…..” said Pedro and Branda Vieyra in the statement. “We are deeply sorry for how this decision will affect everyone of you. At the same time we want to thank you for all your support in this 2 year adventure, thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you and for let us be part of your family..”

Branda & Pedro Vieyra took over the long-beloved Marshfield staple in 2018 – just weeks after the former owners announced a sudden closure of the establishment.

“We’re gonna keep the same soups, Friday fish fry… Basically the menu is going to stay the same except for a couple of new additions and a couple of things taken out,” Branda told OnFocus at that time.

The downtown diner originally opened in 1996 and was operated by Skender “Skendi” Ademi with wife Sandy Lepack until his retirement in April 2016. Daughter Mandie Lepack took over the operation before ownership transferred back to the couple so Mandie could focus on family.

The restaurant, located at 443 S. Central Avenue, was known for its soups and hearty portions.
