MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Grant Elementary PTO will be hosting the Marshfield Area Community Color Run at Frey Field on Sept. 26.

The run is a one-mile run/walk and provides participants with messy fun as they are splattered with non-toxic, colored corn starch throughout the run.

The cost of the event is $25 for the run/walk and a shirt, $20 with just the run/walk and no shirt or $15 for just a t-shirt. Toddlers three and younger can also run for free. There is a $100 maximum registration cost for immediate families of five or more. All proceeds go towards the Grant Elementary PTO.

Runners and walkers will be assigned a wave to run in to avoid large groups of people showing up at the color stations at the same time and help with social distancing. Waves will be assigned at registration. The Grant Elementary PTO encourages participants to dress up with costumes, wigs and anything else wacky to make it a fun event.

A packet of color will be supplied for an after party run with a 1 Mile or 5K Registration. You are welcome to purchase additional color packets for the after party. Packet pickup is from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. on Sept. 26 at Frey Field.

Refreshments will be available for purchase on-site.

Another opportunity to help others will be available as the Grant Elementary PTO will be collecting gently used shoes to donate to less-privileged people overseas. If you have gently used shoes that you no longer have a need for, feel free bring them to the run and donate those shoes to those who will use them.
