Submitted to OnFocus – Altrusa Club of Marshfield recently received the
Dr Nina Fay Calhoun International Relations Award, commemorated with a certificate and monetary award. The Club was recognized for their work with Days For Girls, an Altrusa international project that provides health education and sustainable and affordable feminine products to girls and women in Third World countries.
Club president Laura Drendel, announced the award at the latest meeting and said, “We are privileged and delighted to receive this honor. Thank you to all members who participate in this ongoing service project, and to all members who serve in our multiple service projects.”
Altrusa Club of Marshfield members provide monthly meals to Marshfield Area Respite Care Center, monthly donations to Nutrition on Weekends, spent 677 hours setting up and taking down lights for Rotary’s Winter Wonderland, in addition to working with Days for Girls.
