MACCI to Host Week-Long Dairyfest Celebration in July

Marshfield (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry is pleased to announce that Dairyfest’s “Dairy Strong” will be celebrated. “Dairy Strong” kicks off with a week-long event celebrating our area’s strength in the dairy industry.

With public safety at the forefront, this community tradition will take on a new look for 2020. All activities were planned with adherence to public health guidelines and participants safety in mind. This included working with the Wood County Health Department to help implement safety measures.

The “Dairy Strong” breakfast will be held at the Marshfield Eagles Club, on Sunday, July 12, from 8:00 am – 12 pm. Carry-out options will be available, along with socially distanced indoor seating.

Menu will include; Pancakes with maple syrup, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with ham &
cheese, sausage links, applesauce, fresh cheese curds, assorted muffins and ice cream. Coffee, milk and juices also include. Cost to attend is $7.00, kids under 4 are free.

From Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17, special events and recognition of the area’s dairy strengths will be highlighted on MACCI’s social media and website.

Friday, July 17 will be Food Truck Friday. Food trucks will be located throughout the community during the day and early evening. A location listing of these mobile restaurants will be available on MACCI’s website.

Saturday, July 18 activities will include a “reverse” parade, from 10 am – Noon. Individuals and families can drive, bike, or walk to participating businesses, view their displays, pickup goodies, and learn about the businesses and organizations in Marshfield. Participants are asked to stay in their vehicles, and bikers and walkers are asked to maintain social distance.

A map listing all of the participants will be included in the parade bucket. Parade buckets will be distributed at the fairground’s north parking lot beginning at 9:45 am.

Saturday afternoon will feature entertainment opportunities and various food vendors at the Fairgrounds. Saturday evening will include MACCI’s family friendly Drive-in Movie Night presented by Prevail Bank. Brochures will be available at the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry listing activities to safely enjoy.
