Local Firefighters represent in the 7th Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

We Climb Because They Climbed

Green Bay (OnFocus) On September 11th, 2001, 343 firefighters gave their lives during the tragic events at the World Trade Center. 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb events are a tribute to those individual souls.

Members of the community are invited to climb the steps of Lambeau Field. Individuals are invited to climb the equivalent of 110 stories – the height of the fallen World Trade Center towers. Each climber is given a badge with the name and photograph of one of the fallen.

Member of local fire departments, Arpin, Richfield, and Vesper, participated in the 7th Annual event on Saturday.

These department members started the stair climb on the northwest end of Lambeau Field. they were part of a wave of 343 climbers. The climbing route is one full lap of the Lambeau steps.
