Law Enforcement Seeks Suspect in Thorp Burglary

Thorp (OnFocus) – The Clark County Sheriff’s office responded to a possible burglary in progress on July 27, 2020 at approximately 12:31 p.m. The location of the incident is southwest of the City of Thorp in the Township of Worden.

Deputies with assistance from Wisconsin State Patrol, Thorp Police, Stanley Police, Wisconsin DNR and the public located and apprehended an individual who fled on foot from the property. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that there was possibly a second individual that was also on the property with the individual that was taken into custody. However that subject would have fled on foot also.

The unknown subject is described as being a white male 5’10” tall and 225 pounds, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans unknown direction of travel from the burglary scene. The last area the unknown subject was located in is one quarter mile west of County Highway M South of Eddy Road.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents who reside in that area to please remove keys from your vehicles and secure vehicles, buildings, and homes.
