In a letter to parents and students, Wilhelm said while he was sad to leave the students of Marshfield, he was excited for his new adventure.

“This opportunity has presented itself and I feel that it is the best step for me at this time. Thank you for your kindness during the last four years,” he said. “It has been a great ride! I know there are great things going on at MHS and that will continue to be the case long after I have left.

“The MHS team is filled with phenomenal educators and partners in education who do a great job of preparing our students for college and/or career opportunities. I will treasure the memories I have made and the friendships that have fostered over the years,” he continued. “The Tiger Pride I feel will always have a place in my heart and memory. I wish you all the best of luck as you continue in the educational path before you and as you begin new adventures and continue in your educational journey.

Filling Nicksic’s open position on an interim basis will be Mike Devine, a retired principal at Stevens Point Area Senior High.
