Large Quantity of Meth Seized in Village of Port Edwards

WOOD COUNTY, WI (OnFocus) – On June 9, 2022, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant in the Village of Port Edwards where a large quantity methamphetamine was seized from inside the residence. Investigators also seized a quantity of United States currency along with drug paraphernalia during the search.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department and members from the Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force have been conducting an investigation for several months on a known drug dealer, Ricky J Rosplock. Rosplock was taken into custody in connection to this investigation. The Wood County Sheriff’s Department has previously executed search warrants on Rosplock’s residence in the Town of Sherry, Wood County, WI in 2019. Rosplock was involved in another search warrant in the City of Marshfield, Wood County, WI in 2016. Throughout Rosplock’s adult life, he has continuously had contact with law enforcement for drug-related incidents along with other criminal acts.

Multiple charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office including:

  • Manufacturing and Delivery ofMethamphetamine > Repeat Offender
  • Possession with Intent Methamphetamine > Repeat Offender
  • Maintain Drug Trafficking Residence
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Wood County Sheriff’s Department continues the relentless pursuit of individuals who deliver these types of dangerous drugs within our communities. With that said, we also support any individual who is struggling with addiction and hope they will seek treatment.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in this investigation by the Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force, Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, Port Edwards Police Department, and Wisconsin Rapids Fire and Ambulance.
