New Kwik Trip a Potential 2021 Project

Correction: Kwik Trip moved to the Central/Veterans location in 2004, and was located previously on Central Ave./Arnold St.

Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) Marshfield will soon welcome its third Kwik Trip.

The proposed construction of a new Kwik Trip store will take place at the N. Peach Ave. and N. Central Ave./WIS-97 intersection on 3.3 acres of land. The project will likely move forward in 2021 with a 19-week construction schedule. Store plans include 10 gas dispensers, four diesel dispensers, and one bay car wash.

The company is in the initial stages of the project and is working with the City of Marshfield on required approvals, a company spokesman stated.

A family-owned company founded in 1965, Kwik Trip operates 677 stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, and employs 24,000. A Marshfield location moved in 2004 to the corner of N. Central Ave. and Veterans Parkway from its previous location, and then a second location was built southeast of Marshfield near Highway 10 in 2016.

The La Crosse-based company has experienced steady growth and opens 40-50 stores each year, serving 8.5 million per week.

According to the spokesman, Kwik Trip makes, ships, and sells 80 percent of its own branded products and operates its own bakery, dairy, water bottling line, kitchens, food safety lab, distribution center, ice plant, LP plant, blow mold facility, transportation company, and health clinic.
