MIS presents check to Dan Neve at Cruise for a Cause

Pet Shelter and Cruise for a Cause Receive Donations

Two Marshfield nonprofits received a special donation last week, thanks to Insurance Service Center. Cruise for a Cause and Marshfield Area Pet Shelter were each presented with a symbolic “big check” (as well as an actual donation check) at their respective locations.

“We are so proud to be able to say that our company has won $5,000 in a contest that we participated in from Secura,” said Amanda Meldrum, Insurance Service Center. “It was a fun way to be able to further help out our community.”

ISC donated $1,000 to MAPS for their Paws for Brittany fundraiser, and $4,000 to Cruise for a Cause.

“Both charities are near and dear to our hearts here!” said Meldrum. “We already volunteer at MAPS and sponsor their pancake breakfast. Dan Neve started Cruise for a Cause for breast/prostate cancer research as his wife and mom were both diagnosed within a month of each other and he could not just sit down and watch, so he started this foundation.”

Meldrum hopes that not only will the donations help the two groups, but that the check presentation will spotlight the great work they both are doing to improve the community, and inspire others to get involved.
