Vandalism and Theft of Highway and Stop Signs South of Marshfield

WOOD COUNTY, WI (OnFocus) – Over the past weekend, several highway signs were stolen and damaged, and numerous stop signs were removed from the ground and discarded into the ditch along Washington Avenue in the Township of Cameron (south of Marshfield). The Wood County Sheriff’s Department is actively seeking information from the public to identify the individual(s) responsible for these acts of vandalism and theft.

These actions not only result in significant financial costs to the community but also pose serious safety risks to drivers and pedestrians. The Wood County Sheriff’s Department is urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed these events to come forward.
