MARSHFIELD, WI (Submitted to OnFocus) – Get ready to hit the links and take over RiverEdge Golf Course as we tee off the inaugural A Round for the House. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Marshfield, in collaboration with a committee of generous community members, are excited to announce a new signature event, A Round for the House Golf Scramble, to benefit families with hospitalized children.
For the past thirty-eight years, Ronald McDonald House of Marshfield has served thousands of families in need by keeping them close to their hospitalized child. The four-person scramble allows golfers to come together for some friendly competition to support families. All proceeds support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Marshfield. This charity golf event will raise critical dollars that continue to fund their mission, while keeping Ronald McDonald House free to families.
The inaugural A Round for the House will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at RiverEdge Golf Course. The golf event will include:
- Four-person teams, 18-hole scramble format
- On-course games and contests
- Auctions and raffles
- Boxed lunch
- Golfer participant gifts
A Round for the House founder and co-chair, Jordan Banks, stated his reasons for starting the charity event as “any chance I get to play golf with good friends, I’m in. I figured why not start something to help a great organization all while helping families and especially kids in need. It just made sense. If we can erase some of the burden these families and children are going through, then I think it was worthwhile.”
