Three-part fundraising initiative aims to raise $75,000 for Central Wisconsin women’s shelters
MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) — Hannah Center Inc. announced this week the launch of its “12 Weeks of New Beginnings” holiday fundraising campaign, an initiative designed to provide sustainable support for women and children facing hardship throughout Central Wisconsin.
Running from November 2025 through January 2026, the campaign features three distinct giving opportunities with a combined goal of raising $75,000 to support Hannah Center’s mission of providing safe shelter, vital resources and pathways to independence for women in crisis.
“This holiday season, we’re inviting our community to transform wish-making into meaningful action,” said Connie Teska, president of Hannah Center’s Board of Directors. “Every donation directly impacts the lives of women and children who are rebuilding their futures with courage and determination.”
The campaign includes an online silent auction, “Bid for New Beginnings,” on Nov. 26-Dec. 3, featuring unique items and travel experiences with a $10,000 goal; “Light Up Her Future,” a 24-hour Giving Tuesday fundraiser Dec. 2 also targeting $10,000; and “Ornaments of Hope,” a monthly giving program seeking $4,500 in recurring donations to provide year-round support.
A special feature of the campaign invites donors to submit positive affirmations that will be written on ornaments and displayed on Christmas trees at both Hannah Center shelter locations. The encouraging messages will inspire residents throughout the holiday season.
“These affirmations remind the women we serve that they are valued, supported and not alone on their journey to transformation,” Teska added. “It’s a beautiful way for our community to directly connect with those we serve.”
Since 1993, Hannah Center has provided more than 22,000 safe nights of rest and served more than 1,000 families throughout Central Wisconsin. The organization offers free services including women’s shelters in Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids, personalized Kairos Care Support, and essential resources for families through Hannah’s Caring Closet.
The faith-based nonprofit relies on private donations to fund its operations. All campaign proceeds directly benefit women and children facing crisis in Central Wisconsin, funding safe shelter, recovery programs, life skills training and family support services.
