K9 Rika Alerts to Drugs in Vehicle

OnFocus- According to Marshfield Police Department, a 37-year-old Marshfield male is facing multiple charges after a Friday night traffic stop on E Ives and alert by K9 Rika.

Charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver THC, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Psilocybin (mushrooms), Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia are being sought.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 23.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 155.5 grams of suspected marijuana, 5 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, several schedule 4 prescription pills, suspected THC wax, a 9mm handgun with loaded magazines, and a variety of drug paraphernalia items.

The man was taken to the Wood County Jail.

“Excellent work by the involved officers toward keeping our community safe,” the department said in a statement.
