Members of Fire Department Take Oaths of Office

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Fire Department recognized four of its members as they earned promotions in the wake of retirements within the department.

Three members of the department have been promoted to Relief Lieutenant. Lance Christopher, Ben Griesbach and Lucas Frydenlund will all be taking those positions. The three men took their oaths of office on Tuesday morning.

Erik Jonas also received a promotion as he assumed the role of Deputy Chief. Jonas was also honored at a ceremony as his wife, Tracy, pinned his badge that signifies deputy chief on him.

Fire Chief Scott Owen said he requested in September that Jonas receive the promotion and it was approved in November.

Erik did really well at the assessment center and we are very pleased to have Erik as part of the management team,” Owen said. “Congratulations Erik, I’m excited to have you on the DC [Deputy Chief] team and I know Pete and Steve and the other DCs are as well.”
