MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Former Marshfield football coach Len Luedtke will be inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2022. He will be honored at the Wisconsin Football Coaches Hall of Fame Celebration in Madison on April 2, 2022.

Luedtke, a 1971 graduate from New London High School, competed at UW-Eau Claire in football, wrestling and track.

In 1975, Luedtke began his teaching and coaching career at Shawano High School. In 1978 he was named the head football coach.

In 1989, Luedtke accepted a job at Marshfield as a mathematics teacher and coach at the High School level.

Luedtke served as the Marshfield head football coach from 1995-2009 and amassed a record of 136-44 during those 15 seasons while only missing the playoffs once during that tenure.

His teams won the Wisconsin Valley Conference in 1999, 2001, and 2002 and he led them to Division 1 State Championships in 1997, 2001, and 2002. Marshfield also finished as the runner-up in the 1999 and 2004 seasons.

Luedtke also served as athletic director for eight years and was an assistant principal for three years before he retired in 2011.

The National High School Athletic Coaches Association has been inducting members into its Hall of Fame since 1996. Luedtke will join multiple other coaches from across the United States in being recognized for their achievements as leaders of high school programs.

The celebration will take place during the National High School Athletic Coaches Association National Coaches Convention on June 18 – 22 in Des Moines, Iowa.
