Festival Foods to Sponsor Marshfield Fireworks on July 4
Since 2005, Festival Foods has sponsored Marshfield’s fireworks display, which returns Saturday, July 4, at Marshfield Fairgrounds Park. The fireworks will begin at dusk, or about 9:45 p.m.
“Festival Foods prides itself on being an active part of the community, and what better way to support the Marshfield community than with a Fireworks show this year,” said Nina Winistorfer, Community Involvement Specialist. “We are excited to partner with the City of Marshfield to provide our community members with the safest and more responsible Festival Foods Fireworks show this year.”
Due to COVID-19, Marshfield’s Common Council voted that the fireworks celebration will not include additional activities. They voted that the restrooms will be open at the fairgrounds, however.
Festival Foods sponsored its first fireworks show in 1991. At that time, the Skogen family owned one Festival Foods location in Onalaska. Today, the family owns and operates 31 stores across Wisconsin and sponsors 22 fireworks shows in many of the communities it serves, with the inclusion of four new locations for 2018.
“We have a long history of supporting Fourth of July celebrations in Wisconsin and feel these fireworks shows help bring communities together,” said Mark Skogen, president and CEO of Festival Foods. “We are honored to sponsor the festivities in Marshfield.”
