Festival Foods Featured Recipe: Chicken Celebration Sliders

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – These super simple sliders are perfect for your next celebration or gathering!

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ (29 oz.) pkg. Perdue Chicken Breast Nuggets
  • 4 slices havarti cheese, cut into 6 squares each
  • ½ cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 24 mini party or dinner rolls
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, broken into thirds
  • 24 dill pickle slices

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray a foil lined baking sheet with cooking spray. Place frozen pieces in single layer on baking sheet. Bake according to package instructions. Remove nuggets from the oven.
  2. Spread a teaspoon of thousand Island dressing on the bottom of each party roll and place on the baking sheet. Top with a baked nugget, a cheese square and 1 piece of bacon. Return the nuggets back to the oven for 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese melts. Remove the sliders from the oven.
  3. Place a pickle slice on top of each melted sliders. Spread the top of each roll with another teaspoon of Thousand Island dressing and place on top.
  4. Serve Celebration Sliders with potato or veggie chips.
