Edgar Outduels Abbotsford

Abbotsfod (OnFocus) – A 46 point combined performance in the opening half turned out to be all Edgar and Abbotsford could produce, and it was Edgar that picked up a 30-16 win.

Ayden Weisenberger began the game with a 5 yard run for Edgar on their opening possession. The Falcons came right back and tied the game at 8 with an Evan Schunk 36 yard touchdown.

Mattison Butt put Edgar back on top when he connected with Ashton Schuett on a 51 yard strike.

The Falcons took their lone lead at 16-14 when Ty Falteisek scored from a yard out in the second quarter.

The Wildcats wasted no time in responding, scoring from the first play from scrimmage with an Everett Brehm run of 52 yards.

Late in the second quarter, Karter Butt pushed the Edgar lead to 30-16 with an 11 yard touchdown run.

Falteisek led all rushers with 140 yards on 22 carries.
